In the Configuration file can you define a houseAd that is a local resource? If so, how? In all of the samples, i only see web specified images. Thanks

It's detailed in the "Local House AD" section of the documentation:

Basically it means having an "DefaultHouseAd" entry in your configuration file (with or without probability, just add probability for it to be rotated in and not just the final fall back).  If you also specify a "APPID" with a url, it will also fetch the ad remotely, but on its own it will just use a locally defined one if you follow the instructions.

To use a Local Ad, the just add the entry and supply the control with your local control / image when the page it loading.

So:

  • If you just have a "DefaultHouseAd" entry in config and supply a local one, the local one will always be used
  • If you have a "DefaultHouseAd" entry and add a URL, it will try to download the remote and if it cannot it will use a cached version, if no cached version available it will use the local one
  • If you Just use a "DefaultHouseAd" with a URL and DONT supply a local one, then only the remote and it's cached version will be used, if neither is available it will skip that entry (if no other Ads then it will disable the control)

Hope this helps.

*Note

Only restriction with V1 is you can only have one localhouse ad.  You can add animation to your add to display several things but this is just down to you, for now.
